These snowflakes were found on the branches of trees and on plants often days after the snowfall they came from. In the days after they fell they continued to grow in sometimes strange ways. In addition several of these images contain very very tiny ice fog crystals that happened to land on several of these flakes one day when I was photographing them. These snowflakes average about 1 cm across and the ice fog crystals are on average .25-.5 mm across at most.
