We are a family of artists with diverse interests. We balance a love of nature and innovation, sustainability and industry, the frozen arctic winter and the heat of the forge.
Alaska is a unique place, full of inspiration, but also challenges. It breeds both a fierce, independent, go-getter attitude, and the absolute knowledge that we rely on our community. The population is small enough that having a finger in many pots is essential for surviving as an artist. That means we have had the privilege of serving our community in many roles, which pushes our resourcefulness and creativity in wonderful ways. It has given us opportunities we could never have had elsewhere.

Lara Lotze
is a sculptor, weaver, doll maker, digital artist and theatrical designer with a BA in Film and Performing Arts from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. She has also worked as a professional dancer and choreographer as well as running a local retail business. Her theatrical portfolio is available at laralotze.com.

Brian Lotze
holds a BS in Wildlife Biology, as well as an MAT in teaching (Secondary biology) and an MEd in community counseling. While he enjoys working directly with youth as a clinician in a residential treatment program, photography and nature writing has given him a dynamic way to re-engage with his love of nature and share it with the world.

Jonah Lotze
is a digital artist, sculptor and beginning blacksmith who gets roped into helping his parents around the studio and dragged to remote wilderness areas with relatively few teenage complaints. We are excited to be working with him as he develops as an artist and a person. Teenagers are cool.
